Pastor Paul and Lynn Metler

Pastor Paul is a native of East Tennessee. He and Lynn were married in 1988. They have one son, Nick. Prior to returning home to become part of the Heritage staff in 2000 their ministry experience included planting and pastoring a church in Arizona and serving in Charlottesville, Virginia. Paul was named senior pastor at Heritage Fellowship in October, 2004.

Pastor Paul is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and a big "Vol" fan. Also, he has earned a Master of Divinity from the Church of God Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University. An active writer, Paul has published several articles and works related to leadership development. His involvement in education includes writing and teaching leadership courses as an adjunct for Lee University. Also, Paul serves as an instructor in the D.Min program at the Church of God Theological Seminary.

Pastor Paul's passion is to encourage others to develop Christlike character. Prior to becoming senior pastor at Heritage, Paul worked extensively in executive leadership development helping leaders in the U.S. and Canada develop organizational cultures that reflect biblical values.

Pastor Paul is an ordained bishop in the Church of God. As a senior Pastor, his passion is evident as he helps Heritage live out the vision of the church every day.

Heritage Fellowship is known for exceptional music and Pastor Phil's commitment to heartfelt passionate worship is contagious. Pastor Phil's passion reaches beyond the four walls of Heritage. He thrives on community involvement. Whether coaching with the Oak Ridge Wildcats or leading the choir to sing at community events, he is committed to reaching out. Phil and his wife Naomi have four children: Aaron, Matt, Kristen and Lauren. In addition to his responsibilities with the Music Ministry Phil enjoys producing the weekly television broadcast of the Sunday morning service. The video and audio studio at Heritage has expanded it's capabilities to record and produce DVD's and CD's of excellent quality.

Jeremy and Mary Beth Unthank bring enthusiastic leadership to Student Ministries at Heritage. They lead the Youth Ministry and coordinate Children's Church (K through 3rd grade) and the Identity ministry (4th - 6th graders). They know how to raise the roof with exciting music and worship and then communicate the truth of God's word to all ages. Their energy and creativity makes the message memorable.

You may recognize Pastor John's voice from his devotionals on Christian radio broadcasts on LOVE89. Pastor John and Shelia inspire us to look out into our community and spread the love of Christ. The Outreach Ministry touches lives in the Anderson County Detention Center, local residents in Oak Ridge and the homeless in surrounding communities. Pastor John devotes a great deal of time to campus ministry at the University of Tennessee and his leadership extends to campus leaders around the world.
